Our Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to SBT Business Technologies. This Privacy Policy discloses privacy practices for the SBT website and informs you of data we collect, how we protect it and what choices you have about how the information is used. We urge you to read this Privacy Policy so that you will understand both our commitment to you and your privacy, and how you can participate in that commitment.

E-mail

If you send an e-mail to SBT, your email address and the contents of your message are collected. These are used to respond to you, to address issues you identify, or to forward your message to another SBT employee who can help you. We do not disclose your e-mail address to any person or organization outside of SBT.

Cookies

Cookies are files that web browsers place on a computer's hard drive to collect data and track users' visitation to the website. SBT Business Technologies does not use cookies on its non-transactional web sites (www.sbtinc.com and www.achbusiness.com). The transactional web sites utilize cookies strictly for the purposes of maintaining session state and recording resolution. The session state information does not contain any personally identiifiable information.

Security

SBT takes every precaution to protect our users' information. Our business solutions utilize some of the most advanced technology for Internet security available today.

When users submit sensitive information via SBT's websites, the information is protected both online and offline. All user information is safe, secure, confidential and restricted in our offices. Our transactional web sites are configured to operate using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). SSL provides encryption and message authentication. Each user must obtain a 128-bit digital certificate to access these web sites. Digital certificates must be renewed each year. Only employees requiring the information to perform a certain task are granted access to personally identifiable information.

All user data is stored in secure databases. No other user information is recorded within the computer's file system. Data for customers who discontinue service is deleted from the databases immediately upon receipt of the formal cancellation document. Any externally supplied data such as a sample file is maintained on the system during the time the incident is being researched and immediately destroyed once the incident is resolved. This information is not shared with anyone beyond the SBT support staff, except when required by law enforcement investigation. Activity logs containing no personally identifiable information are maintained for one year and will automatically drop off the system during normal retention checking.

SBT employees are kept up-to-date on the company's security and privacy practices. Our employees are regularly notified and/or reminded of their role in the protection of our customers' information.
